HOW THE SUBMISSION PROCESS WORKS
No forms, no ticket system. You speak directly with the people who will eventually repair your device.
Briefly describe what happened. We’ll let you know right away if we can help and when you can stop by.
You’ll receive the assessment and a firm price. We won’t get started until you give the go-ahead. You don’t pay anything upfront.
We are a repair shop, not a retail store that serves walk-in customers. Without an appointment, there’s a good chance no one will be available to help you. With an appointment, someone will take the time to advise you.
DIRECTIONS
We’re located at the B1st Software Factory on Rheinlanddamm, right on the B1 across from the Westfalenhallen. It’s a quick trip from Bochum, Witten, Lünen, and the rest of the Ruhr region.
Don’t enter “Rheinlanddamm 201” into your GPS. The B1 is built like a highway—there is no access to our property from the B1.
We’ve marked it—the route will then take you straight where you need to go.
It’s less than 200 meters from there—we’ll describe the last few meters below.
So, coming from the city—not via the B1. Drive all the way to the end of the road.
After the turn, the access road leads to the left, straight toward our building. Drive to the end of this access road.
There’s a reception desk on the ground floor. Just tell them you’re here to see the notebooknerds. We’ll be notified and will come right over to you.

Tip for BVB game days: We’re within sight of the stadium. On home game days, there’s a lot more going on around the Westfalenhallen—so plan to allow a little extra time, or come on a different day.

If the device still starts up: back up your data first. We take care to preserve your data, but a backup is still essential.

In most cases, we can schedule a drop-off appointment for the same day or the next business day; however, the repair may take longer.
In most cases, repairs take a little longer. That means you won’t have to wait any longer than necessary. However, we can call you right away as soon as the job is done. We’ll let you know what to expect when you make your appointment.

The easiest way is to search for “notebooknerds” on Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Bing Maps—we’re listed there and the directions are correct. If your device doesn’t recognize us, enter Harnackstraße 80, 44139 Dortmund. Based on experience, TomTom’s route planning doesn’t work correctly; please take Harnackstraße there as well. Under no circumstances should you enter “Rheinlanddamm 201,” as there is no access from the B1.
Drive down Harnackstraße from the north until you reach the U-turn loop. Don’t turn around there; instead, turn right onto the small road toward B1st Software-Factory, then follow the driveway to the left. It leads directly to our building, and there are visitor parking spaces in front of it.
