When problems with Staingate occur, the coating of the display peels off. It looks like your MacBook display has spots.
The error is especially noticeable when the display is turned off or backlit. In such a case, we will completely remove the coating so that the display looks good again.
If your display goes out the further you open the screen, then the reason could also be an error in the flex cable (ribbon cable), which was designed too short by Apple.
This causes the cables to bend too much and therefore break after some time, causing the backlight to fail. The good news is that in such a case, you can repair the MacBook display.
If you experience a purple screen (vertical purple stripes on the MacBook display), a dust particle is probably pressing into the ribbon cable. In such a case, we can repair the cables or replace the MacBook display.

In our experience, however, in most cases it is not a production defect, but typical application errors that lead to having to repair or replace a MacBook display. Such a typical mistake can be, for example, forgetting an in-ear headset on the keyboard before closing the display. The result: The display breaks. In such a case, you have to replace the MacBook display.
Fake webcam covers are also often used. This is particularly dangerous and often not known. Since they are too thick, all the pressure is on a small spot when closing the display. If you close the screen too quickly, the display breaks.
In case of water damage, it also happens that the display draws liquid. This is how a so-called cloud formation occurs. The name comes from the fact that the background of the display is unevenly illuminated and resembles clouds. The good news is that this is cosmetic damage. Functionally, the display is fully functional and can still be used. If you want to undo this damage, you have to replace the display.
