Nach der Erfahrung beim „Fachhandel“ und deren scheinbar mit Röntgenblick gestellten Diagnose und 700€ KV bin ich zu Notebooknerds gekommen - zu kompetenter und freundlicher Beratung, schneller und freundlicher Auskunft und einem absolut unkomplizierten Ablauf. Die Reparatur hätte im Apple Store knapp 800 - 1.000 € gekostet und alle Daten wären verloren gegangen (!). Über eine Google Anzeige bin ich auf notebooknerds gestoßen. Im ersten Moment war ich skeptisch, ob ich das MacBook an einen Onlinedienstleister nach Dortmund senden soll. Aufgrund der sehr guten Rezensionen entschied ich mich dann doch für notebooknerds. Ich habe zusätzlich zur normalen Reparatur den 24 Stunden Service gebucht. Montag habe ich den Laptop zu DHL in den Versand gegeben. Dienstag wurde das MacBook bereits repariert und am Mittwoch wieder in den Rückversandt gegeben. Heute, am Donnerstagvormittag halte ich das wieder funktionierende Gerät wieder in meinen Händen. As soon as liquid has come into contact with electronic components, the device must be cleaned. The liquid evaporates, but the remaining residues cause corrosion. Equipment that is restored to working order after drying is often damaged in the long term by corrosion.
As can be seen in the picture, corrosion grows like a fungus as long as electricity is present. This growth will sooner or later cause a short circuit and the device may be damaged.
While authorized Apple service providers replace all components that have come into contact with liquid, at notebooknerds we only replace the really defective, small components on the motherboard. This protects the environment and saves money.
You always pay for the treatment of your fluid damage only after a successful rescue and never in advance. The rescue of the motherboard has a fixed price of 367 €, no matter how tricky it is to fix the error.
If additional components such as the battery need to be replaced, we will contact you by phone to find a favorable solution. You decide whether or not you want to have your MacBook rescued at the new price, and you have the option to withdraw from the rescue at no cost. In this case, we will send your MacBook back to you free of charge.

Then we will send you the invoice and will send you your MacBook after we have received the payment. If water gets on your MacBook, you need to react quickly. Soak up the liquid with a towel or with your sweater, disconnect the MacBook from the power and turn it off. Let the liquid run out of the MacBook, but make sure it doesn't get near the display. Dry the opened MacBook on the heater and have it checked by a professional afterwards.
Homeowner's insurance will not pay if the water damage to your MacBook was caused by you. However, Apple and all retailers now offer a warranty extension that covers such damage at the time of purchase. If a third party caused the water damage to your MacBook, their liability insurance will cover the costs.
No, absolutely not. The reason: The hair dryer pushes the liquid into the device instead of getting it out and thus damages the individual components even more. In the worst case, the data on the hard disk will also be irretrievably lost.
