With macOS Tahoe, Apple has fundamentally revised the verification of installed replacement parts. Lid angle sensors that were previously calibrated with nerd.tool.1 continue to function, but are now displayed with a warning message. This warning can be easily cleared by completing the repair process offered directly through the warning prompt.
Starting with macOS Tahoe, nerd.tool.1 is no longer required for lid angle sensor calibration. For earlier macOS versions, nerd.tool.1 remains a quick and easy solution.
